EXPERIENCE:  
2004-date: IT-Architect: Technical Expert for WW HPUX-Server Management

After split of HP-Services in Trade and IT, responsible for defining world-wide server management standards for the new consolidated HPIT- datacenters. Areas include server provisioning, patch management, reporting, monitoring, security, configuration management and tools consolidation.
The key responsibilities in this role are similar as in my previous role, combining project management skills with technical design work developing new concepts, but now include more areas.
 
2004-2005: IT-Architect: WW Service Module Owner and Technical Expert SW-Distribution & Configuration Management

 
 


 

Moved to GDIS (Global Delivery Infrastructure Services) as a WW Service Module Owner and Technical Expert for SW-Distribution & configuration Management.
The key responsibilities in this role were: Building a service module and providing the technical expertise to the solution architects in the various customer deals. This included design & documentation of the concepts & technology, defining the delivery & support process, costing, providing trade deal consulting and evaluation. I worked closely together with service managers, solution architects and technical experts. The WW ownership of the module included the alignment of the regional solutions.
 

2000-2002: Technical Lead for HP-Openview IT/Administration, Hewlett-Packard Germany

Responsibilities included project planning and managing the manufacturing process being the contact to external development partners. Handling of Enhancement Requests and Customer Specials. Generally providing in-depth technical expertise on the product for all team functions: R&D, Marketing, Support and Learning Products.
1998-2000: Support Engineer for HP-Openview IT/Operations, Hewlett-Packard Germany

Worked in the IT/O CPE Support Team (3rd level support / lab support).
Design and implementation of the Java-GUI for IT/O, programming in Java (client) and C++ (server). After completion of the first release, continued with customer support for IT/O: Call handling, escalation handling, debugging on HP-UX and WinNT, fixing code problems, developing smaller enhancements (Customer Special solutions), testing of beta code, writing documentation like process doc. and whitepapers, preparing and giving presentations and parts of technical training, Web administration, BCS admin., built productivity tools and scripts (ksh, awk, cgi, HTML,  Java, C)

1997-1998: Software Design Engineer for HP-Openview  IT/Inventory,  Hewlett-Packard Germany
Part of new IT/I team, responsible for build, packaging and installation of the product  working with HP-Software Distributor. Working for IT/O on BMC-Patrol project, implementing modules in the GUI using C/C++ and OV-Windows.  Design and implementation of the GUI of IT/I using Java.
1993-1997: Software Design Engineer for HP-Openview  IT/Administration,  Hewlett-Packard Germany
Software Design Engineer at NSMD in the IT/A team.
Designed, implemented and tested areas of the graphical user interface (using C and X11/motif). Later additional tasks as the System Administrator and ClearCase-Admistrator for the team. In 1995 additional responsibility for build, packaging and installation of the IT/A product with SD and DART process.
